Dodgeville Today

Although mining has left, it has paved the way for a wide variety of other industries which, along with agriculture and tourism, create a successful economic blend. Dodgeville, which has a population of 4,220, is home to several internationally recognized companies. Lands’ End, direct merchants of clothing, linens, and luggage, moved to Dodgeville in 1978 and has since reached sales in excess of $1 billion.

Wind Turbines

Stretching along the south side of Highway 18 between Cobb and Montfort are 20 wind turbine generators. This is the largest wind farm in Wisconsin.

Dodgeville Farmers Appreciation Days

Since 1986, The community of Dodgeville and surrounding Iowa County have coordinated a special celebration honoring some of our greatest American heroes–our farmers. Recognizing the importance of agriculture to this largely rural area, the citizens developed Iowa County Farmers Appreciation Day held in Dodgeville on the second weekend of July each year.
